Gone Til Sunset 2021
Gone til Sunset , "Off the grid" is a special place. You've been there, the kind of place Jimmy and Kenny wrote songs about. No cell service. It's the place you find to lose yourself on vacation. You can hear the blender running as you approach on foot through a tunnel of sea grapes. You feel the sand in your flip flops and know this is where you will spend your day. You worked hard to get here. It's your Key West, or some hot Caribbean island deep in the tropics. Red Stripes , lionfish tacos, a pina colada, some fins and a mask. It's why I love to travel. The inspiration for this is a real place that was completely destroyed in a hurricane. I recently talked to a fellow traveler who told me, elated , that they rebuilt it, and Gwen's Reggae Grill is back and better than ever ! Anguilla is where it naps happily under the sun and by the turqouise sea. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon and have returned 3 times over the years.
