Many Rivers to Dream About came from a photograph I took looking north from the Isle of Palms Connector on an early morning drive. I wanted to capture that extraordinary openness and the simple joy I feel just looking out the window.
The original is only twenty inches wide, which made the challenge even more interesting: create the feeling of an enormous sky within an intimate composition.
